555......laughing???

What do you usually express your feeling of laughing when you are chatting with friends online?

People like to use "LOL, LoL or lol" to indicate laughing online, but me I go by adding 555 whenever I feel something funny and giving more 55555555 for those extraordinary drollery.

LOL, an abbreviation for laughing out loud, or laugh out loud or sometimes “lots of laughs”, is a common element of Internet slang. It is one of many initialisms for expressing bodily reactions, in particular laughter, as text, including initialisms for more emphatic expressions of laughter such as LMAO ("laughing my ass off"), ROTFL ("roll(ing) on the floor laughing") or ROFL ("roll(ing) on [the] floor laughing"), and BWL ("bursting with laughter").

While most people around the world using LOL, some of them prefers using their own national slang, such as "mdr" (Mort de rire = dying of laughter) for French, "asg" (asgrav = laughter) for Swedish, "g" (griner = laughing) for Danish, "rs" (risos = laugh) for Brazilian and "w" (wara (笑) = laugh) for Japanese

Like many other nationals, Thai commonly use "555" for laughing. 555 ithe Thai variation of LOL. "5" in Thai is pronounced "ha", three of them being "hahaha". Even if we, Thais, type sentences in English or other languages, 555 is still used in those messages.

For example:
"That is so ridiculous!!!" 55555555.

Of course, the sentences with 555 we use in chatting must be suited for another who understands what 5 means, but most of the time, we familiarly use it and totally forget that 555 isn't worked well with someone.

mj wrote in his blog that ...... he kept seeing the number 5 everywhere in Thai chatting. He stepped in and asked a Thai what 5 meant. After learning the meaning and how to use, he felt it's cool and start using it by then.

If you have a chance to chat with a Thai, don't be surprised that you will see tons of 555 in the message. Let's laugh together 555 ^^.

My Staub: Majolica Grenadine

What's Staub (en France)?
Staub has begun in the Alsace, France since 1974. It's renowned for one-pot recipes and fine enameled cast iron, perfectly retaining and redistributing food's heat and chilling the cold.

:: 27cm Majorica Red Oval Cocotte ::

I first found Staub from my friend's posting. I wondered how it's different from well-known cast iron Le Creuset. What makes Staub special and unique is a cocotte lid with bumps which's designed Self Basting Spikes to allow only less humidity to escape during the cooking process.

Some friends might not have an idea of benefits to using enameled cast iron, like me. Here are just a few good things the cast iron acts......

  • Even heat distribution that prevents burning
  • Slow cooking at low heat temperatures which intensifies the flavors
  • Retains heat for long periods of time which keeps the food hot directly from the oven to the table
  • Heavy lid traps moisture and flavors inside the pot for better tasting meals
  • Bottoms will not warp and will remain flat to ensure even heating

Why don't you visit Staub's website (http://www.staub.fr/en/home.html) to find more how exclusively Staub is? By doing so, you will also be suggested with those supreme recipes, such as beef bourguignon, chicken chasseur w/ rosemary, mussel risotto w/ lemon or roast veal w/ wild mushrooms for you to experience superb dishes at home with Staub. Most wonderful email I've ever had

May 30, 2011
Congratulations! FY11 was our year - and you've certainly shown that it was YOUR year! You've earned a spot on the Achievers 2011 "Mediterranean Fun Cruise!" You and a guest will Set Sail on a six-day cruise aboard the Celebrity Solstice, visiting some of the best ports-of-call in the Mediterranean; Barcelona Spain, Tunis Tunisia, Civitavecchia and Livorno Italy and Cannes France.

That was a forwarded email I got from my husband. After reading the email, I felt like I was in the sky flying up and up. I stopped dreaming and started thinking what I should do next. Kids were in concern initially and visas and money and ...

We finally decided to take two kids along. They were 4 and 6. I guessed they grew enough to recognize where they were, hopefully.

..................

I started applying for Tunisia visa at first and continued with Schengen visa from Spain embassy. In Japan, it took about a week to get Tunisia visa (http://www.tunisia.or.jp) and 10 days for Schengen (email for visa information emb.tokio.info@maec.es).

Next step for this cruising trip was to reserve the ticket for four. We found out there were Singapore and Austrain Airlines which are in the group of Star Alliance to collect mileage. We picked Singapore due to the flight schedule and transit issue. We wanted to visit Singapore city when the connecting time (both returning flights) were allowed! I wondered when the ticket prices were quoted that the engine and airport charges costed us a lot, as same as the ticket itself.

Last but not least, before packing luggages and preparing money for exchange, I searched for all information for independent traveling in Singapore, Barcelona, Rome, Vatican City, Pisa, Florence, Cannes and Monte Carlo, Monaco (an extra country we could visit when leaving the port of Cannes, France). Tunis was the only city we would take a tour with Celebrity since it was reasonable price and might be difficult for us to travel around within a half of our day.

Lastly, everything were all done for our fantastic trip. We had about 9 days to explore those 6 countries and experience the cruises in the Mediterranean.

Let's follow us to discover Singapore city and the Mediterranean together ^^

Her name is Hana

Good afternoon to all...........^^

I am happy to present our family member. Her name is Hana which means flower in Japanese, but we go by Hana chan (little Hana) since she's only 4 month-old.

Hana chan has come while there was a discuss between four of us; my husband, a girl, a boy and me. I was the only one against to have a puppy at home. I mean I could see many works happened afterward.

We've been discussing about this issue for a few years earlier. My husband convinced all those things which kids could perceive if we had a pet. He even tried to induce both kids how delightful they would be. I had to keep listening such good consequence we would get whenever we went to mall and stopped by a pet shop. In contrast, I did reminding them I wouldn't do any dog's stuffs, like walking, showing or cleaning dog. My attempt was raveled since my girl, 6 year-old, promised me that she would be the one who takes responsibility for the dog's.

My husband got Hana chan from his friend. He picked dachshund because he personally like this breed. Hana chan was picked when she was only 2 month-old. Hana chan was conveyed to our house on August 14 when she turned to 4 after we returned from our Mediterranean trip. The name of Hana was created by little girl, Erisa who really loves flower and wishes to be a flower shop owner one day.

We are happy after having Hana chan as a new member of our family. Hana chan has brought us new neighbor (with dog), calmness, tenderness and so on, especially to my two kids.

Please welcome Hana chan as one of your online member as we are happy with her ^^.
